using my new flash accessories …
It seems that I should have bought a transmitter and receiver to fire my speedlite remotely long before this. I didn’t and now I have one and everybody just calm down! Actually I should just calm down..
This posting business about photog learning started with my friend Leah and I. We are creative types and our personalities are such that sometimes staying on track is strugglish-y. We want to keep each other accountable and move forward. We decided to blog about it.
This post finds us with Bryce. He is also a photog and a damn fine one. I have almost no technical muscle and he has guns if you know what I mean. He is teaching me some great stuff!!
SO yesterday, my transmitter and receiver and some cords and extras came in the mail- overnighted actually. I bought them from Paul C. Buff- Paul C. Buff, Inc.. I needed a lens back from B. that I had lent him. I brought my new stuff with me and we played in a coffee shop. After firing the flash remotely several times and laughing out loud a lot (it was so exciting!) we decided his place nearby would be less disturbing to the public.
I am using: Canon Rebel T2i, Canon 430ex speedlite, Canon 50mm prime L series lens, Gary Fong lightsphere, Bryce’s head.
These shots are not processed- just what happened with goofing around with light. We didn’t spend a lot of time but I sure learned. And I goofed around some more in my bathroom figuring out the best lighting for faucets. Why faucets? Well, I plan to use my new tiny muscles today on a shoot for a brochure about sampling from the sink. It’s for a marketing firm’s client. Faucet and hand shots. Yep- I am g to the l to the amorous. ( if you didn’t pick that up I was spelling out glamorous)
Also I found this simple link. It was good for my simple mind! Product Photography.
